Elliot fiddled with the dials on his guitar as he sat by the water, he was not exactly in the greatest of moods despite the fact it had been his birthday, a overwhelming sense of disappointment had flooded over him recently and he didn’t know what to do with it. He glanced off to the side of him at the bonfire which had been burning, his blue eyes watching the ambers that flew off into the air.
He frowned a little bit over the heat that was escaping the fire and drifting towards him, he had never been too fond of bonfires. Back in the UK Elliot used to love bonfire nights, sitting underneath the darkness and watching the world pass you by as you buzzed off the alcohol flowing through you. He bit his lip, picking up the bottle of whiskey he had off to the side of him, chugging a bit of it down before going back to tuning his guitar.
It was rare Elliot seemed to be able to get a moment alone lately, so he was relishing in it a bit. But he was beginning to get bored and some company would certain not have been rejected. He let out a gentle sigh to himself, strumming on his strings and begin to sing. “You just gotta ignite, the light, and let it shine Just own the night like the 4th of July”
